Das bring ich mit: After working as a biofuels scientific researcher and then in the aviation biofuels market, I changed my life to get in touch with nature again and help reverse climate change through nature-based solutions, like regenerative agriculture.
I am originally from Portugal, and lived and worked in different countries around the world such as Malaysia, Australia and the Netherlands. Those experiences brought me a global perspective to understand different cultures, people and natural contexts.
I hold a BSc. Forestry and Natural Resources Engineering and a MSc. Energy and Bioenergy, with some peer-reviewed scientific papers published.
Learning from soil microbiologists like Dr. Elaine Ingham, Dr. David Johnson and peers, I got the knowledge to perform soil microbiology analysis and restore the missing biology in our degraded soils.
Persönliches Ziel: Restoring our degraded soils and ecosystems can tackle many of our contemporary problems like reversing climate change, provide food & water security and improve human & animal health. Seems too good to be true? Because it is true and it’s my life’s goal.
Sonstige Beschäftigungen: Passionate about travelling, surfing, coffee, photography, cinema and people interviews.
Besondere Eigenheit: For me everything has the potential to be interesting. I love to hear about something new and then waste the next three hours researching and learning about that subject, even if it is absolutely useless.
Das sagen die anderen: That I can be very boring while I am trying to convince a new person about how can we restore our soils health and all the benefits that comes with it. Especially if you hear the same conversation already for the 10.000th time… (by my wife).
